CIM

CIM is a mixed social cooperative (A+B) established in July 1988 in Bologna to foster the integration of people with fragility. Through the inclusion of disadvantaged people in the world of work and customized educational paths to stimulate the person’s autonomy and well-being, CIM operates by always placing the person at the center of its attention. The cooperative operates in different sectors, ranging from contract work to workshops and manual activities to the management of social workshops. CIM also runs “La Taverna del Castoro”, a solidarity restaurant that uses local products and promotes integration, training and solidarity to disadvantaged youth.
With actions to regenerate its activities and the renovation and redevelopment of the complex of buildings in which it operates, which began in 2018 and is expected to be completed by early 2024, the Cooperative will be able to further improve the quality of the services it offers and accommodate its users and workers in spaces that are increasingly suitable for the planned activities. Restart Italia’s contribution will allow the renovation of the barn-stable that will house not only the packaging and assembly workshop but also other small business activities and will be named “L’officina della dignità”. This choice is aimed at increasingly improving the quality of interventions, expanding opportunities for internships and job placements, and creating a renewed space for inclusion where, through Work, people with fragilities and disabilities can live with Dignity and build their own Tomorrows.
