Paolo Grigolli
Paolo Grigolli was born in 1965 in Trento, where he current lives. He earned a degree with honors from the Faculty of Economics at the University La Sapienza in Rome in 1989 and, in the same year, founded and managed ECON Pian Ltd. to promote business between Italian and Central-Eastern European companies. After obtaining a Masters Degree in Marketing Management, he worked in Milan and London at Arthur Andersen. From 1993 to 2003 he was Deputy Director and then Director of the Academy of Trade and Tourism, a business school established by the Trento Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, Paolo launched TSM (Trentino School of Management), a spin-off of the former, where he is currently Director of the School of Tourism and Cultural Management, focusing on planning, marketing and management of vocational training programs and research. In addition, Paolo has served as a consultant on several projects related to local development and tourism in Romania, Croazia, Altaj Republic, Caucasus, Chile, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, among others. In 2006 he co-founded Microventures (now Credit Access), the first Italian investment fund specialized in microfinance. He was also a co-founder and the first president of “Il Margine”, a publishing company based in Trento. He joined the Board of Fem Onlus, and subsequently the Foundation, contributing actively to the India project until its closure. Paolo is a member of the Scientific Committee of AITR (the Association of Italian Responsible Tourism Companies) and Natourism, an Italian company the promotes sustainable tourism. In 2017, he co-founded Wonderful Italy, financed by investment fund Oltre Venture, to promote tourism in private homes in Italy. He has been heavily involved with OPES Fund as a Board Member since its initiation in 2012.
