Seme di Pace is a type A+B (mixed) Social Cooperative, established in 2002 to promote the values of solidarity and social subsidiarity by focusing its action in the areas of hospitality, education, territorial animation and local development and operating in Naples and Province, particularly in the Vesuvian area of Portici, San Giorgio a Cremano and Ercolano. The Cooperative nurtures educating communities by intervening on families, schools and the entire community to promote quality education aimed particularly at disadvantaged youth, families and communities. Among its numerous services, it also takes care of the inclusion of disadvantaged youth and the implementation of educational and rehabilitative pathways, educational and/or entertainment services for minors and families in a state of social fragility; management of playrooms and after-school programs, Informagiovani services and Youth Projects.
With Restart Italia’s contribution, Seme di Pace intends to strengthen the educating community through the development of the Villa Fernandes socio-cultural Hub in Portici and to create a new facility, a second socio-cultural Hub called Vico Ritiro on the border between Portici and Ercolano, characterizing and diversifying them in the offers and proposals of services and in which young people will be able to develop with educators a community project in which they can be protagonists.
Vico Ritiro will represent an educational space for the youth, a Peer Education Centrer in which to design and implement socio-cultural activities and creative paths. Through training in arts and crafts related to audiovisual and artistic production techniques, the minors will acquire skills and abilities to create and manage a web TV and a music recording/production studio. Aggregation in the Vico Ritiro hub will also take place around an ArtCafé Bistro and local, national and international youth exchange projects, which the young people will manage.
