LA SORGENTE

La Sorgente, founded in 1984, is a type A social cooperative active in the Brescia area and concentrated in particular on territorial districts 10 (Eastern Lower Brescia Plain) and 11 (Lake Garda). Its core commitment is to promoting social integration and human development through a wide range of services and interventions.
Among its many activities, the cooperative manages educational services for children and young people, with particular attention to early childhood and the prevention of school dropout. It also provides residential and semi-residential services, social housing and is involved in the rehabilitation of properties confiscated from organised crime. La Sorgente is also strongly committed to supporting people with disabilities, minors and their families through the management of day centres, autonomy training services and targeted activities. Since 2024, it has also launched projects to support independent living for people with disabilities.
The support from Restart Italia aims to help create a socio-health centre developed in partnership with Il Faro APS, an association representing families of people with disabilities in the local area. The centre will host two distinct services: a socio-health community for people with moderate to severe disabilities, and a facility dedicated to supported independent living (co-housing) for people with moderate to mild disabilities. The centre is located in Bedizzole (BS) and will provide a total of 16 beds, 10 for the socio-health community and 6 for the co-housing unit.
