Tantintenti is a type A social cooperative, founded in 2003, that operates primarily in Biella and its province, as well as in the northwestern region of Piedmont.
The cooperative is committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, children and their families, and adults. Addressing all age groups, from early childhood to adolescence and adulthood, Tantintenti plays an active role in the local educational community, collaborating closely with the local community to meet the needs of families.
In the disability sector, Tantintenti offers a range of integrated initiatives, covering various activities, from residential services to occupational programs.
For adults, the cooperative offers services such as migrant reception, prison rehabilitation projects, and workplace inclusion initiatives. Furthermore, Tantintenti is active in generative welfare, exploring innovative methods and solutions to enhance the overall well-being of the territory in which it operates.
The support provided through Rigenera aims to strenghten Tantintenti’s Disability Area, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of individuals in the “grey area”, i.e. those whose disabilities are “not severe enough” to qualify for placement in day centers but who lack the skills necessary for full integration into the workforce. One of the services to be developed in this area is Vivi Biellese, an inclusive tourism initiative designed to equip individuals in this group with practical skills enabling them to engage in the workforce.
