Mago di Oz is a type A social cooperative based in Acqui Terme (AL), founded in 2001 as a spin-off of the cooperative CrescereInsieme, to address emerging needs in child welfare. The cooperative specializes in child neuropsychiatry and adult psychiatry focusing on providing comprehensive support for minors facing severe family and social challenges, as well as those affected by psychopathological conditions.
It manages several facilities, including a Group Home, two Therapeutic Communities for Minors, and a Residential Educational Community.
Mago di Oz collaborates with various professionals in the medical, clinical, and training fields to ensure a comprehensive and personalized therapeutic approach that addresses the patient’s psychopathological condition from psychopharmacological, psychotherapeutic, and socio-rehabilitative perspectives.
The overarching goal of the cooperative is to initiate and manage therapeutic pathways, in collaboration with healthcare services to enhance patient autonomy, foster personal development, and create a stable and emotionally relational and social environment.
Through Rigenera, Mago di Oz is developing “Terre di Mezzo”, a social integration workshop space for individuals aged 15 to 25. This initiative includes workshops designed to acquire skills applicable to both the workforce and everyday life. In addition to vocational training, the service offers psychological assessments, social orientation consultations, and therapeutic support.
