Alce Rosso is a type A social cooperative founded in 1995 in Ivrea (TO) with the mission of providing educational and recreational services for children and adolescents in the Canavese area. Its approach is characterized by the active participation of children, adolescents, and their families, as well as a strong focus on educational quality supported by robust pedagogical coordination.
Since 1999, the cooperative has managed Centro Villa Girelli in Ivrea (TO), which it officially acquired in 2005. Villa Girelli is the core of Alce Rosso’s operations. Designed by architect Ottavio Cascio and built by Olivetti Spa in the 1970s, the facility was originally intended as a space for educational and recreational activities with children and adolescents. The structure consists of five pavilions, each with a covered area of 300 square meters, and a 40,000-square-meter park designed according to the Robinson Park philosophy – a concept that promotes natural, exploratory, and unstructured play.
Villa Girelli is the heart of Alce Rosso’s activities, hosting a micro-nursery, nursery, bilingual preschool, indoor and outdoor play areas, summer camps, day centers, academic support services, and educational workshops.
With Rigenera’s support, the cooperative aims to improve the accessibility and usability of Villa Girelli’s park, particularly for children aged 0-6, their families, and minors with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This support will allow Alce Rosso to revitalize the park, equipping it with appropriate structures for recreational and educational activities.
