CAVAREI

CavaRei is a social cooperative established in 2018 through the merger of two historic cooperatives in the Forli region, Il Cammino and Tangram, which for more than 30 years provided services for disability and social distress. Today, CavaRei cares for more than 130 people and prides itself on predominantly female governance.
Over the past three years, CavaRei has expanded its range of services thanks in part to several collaborations initiated with local businesses, providing answers not only to the needs of families with people with disabilities, but also to women in vulnerable situations.
CavaRei operates five facilities, offering numerous services, including two occupational therapy centers, an accredited day and residential rehabilitation center, a mental health center, a group of independent living apartments, a group home, and a center for growing and processing aromatic herbs.
The contribution from Restart Italia will allow Cavarei to develop the “Ricuciamo il futuro” project (Stitch the future) aimed at strengthening the 3 sectors of branch B (tailoring, printing and shop) with the primary aim of generating female employment and increasing the number of disadvantaged people trained in work, but also to produce revenues and improve and grow their business model.
