Emma Caddy, our investment director, is leaving to dedicate herself full time to running Tiny Totos – a Kenyan-based social enterprise that has developed a market-based approach for improving preschool childcare services in lower income communities of Nairobi.
By equipping informal daycare entrepreneurs with the knowledge, network and capital they need to run better daycare micro ventures, they can triple their revenues, provide reliable childcare services to working woman to release their earning potential, and give a better start in life to children in their most critical growth years. Tiny Totos’ partner entrepreneurs don’t just give better daycare; they catalyze economic potential and opportunity for women and children throughout the informal settlements, while earning more money for themselves.
We are very grateful to Emma for her work and we support her and Tiny Totos’ efforts to scale an African social enterprise that is helping women help other women, and by doing so, help themselves.
We are delighted to welcome Elisabet Nysquit as Investment Director.
